Every day I stop in the morning and ask the bump, “So… do you think today is the day?
“I mean, I’m not trying to hurry you along or anything, but there is a perfectly nice room out here that you’ll doubtless enjoy. It has nice sunlight, and some toys already!
“So… is today the day? Hmmm? Maybe? Maybe not?”

No progress or movement.
Must be a boy.

I can relate to this, however it’s amazing how much easier life is before the baby is fully terrestrial (perhaps only for Dad’s but?)

Good luck. Our wee chap was two weeks early, so we didn’t get this waiting period you’re going through. I just got nudged in the ribs at 1am one morning, with “I think this is it.” I said “That’s nice.” and promptly went back to sleep until 6am

Way to go – nice picture too

My kids were all very early so I never got the pesky questions. Babies have their own schedule – in and out

Wicked piccie.
Here’s to a safe arrival soon – trust Second Chef is more than holding up/out

My mother never forgets to remind me that not only was I three weeks overdue over Christmas, she had suffer the embrassment of leaving hospital still pregnant after I decided I might come that day but didn’t.
I did repay her by being a baby who slept for 12 hours from the word go.

All I can think is I’m sure my Mum had a caftan in the 70s with exactly that pattern.

I have been thinking of you three, but I have been reluctant to ask… it’s so fecking rude! So thank you! Second Chef looks fabulous.
My eldest daughter started arriving on her due day, ‘though it took her a few days to actually get here, and numbers two and three were induced at 38 weeks (lightly – they were starting to be on the way in any case), so we’ve never had to go through the waiting game.
Have you gotten that radio controlled helicopter for the Chef de plunge yet? Or the fully motorised train set?

very nice belly. i think mine was twice the size by then.
i’ve been wondering when the heck that baby’s coming out. oliver was 2.5 weeks late, supposedly, and he still had to be kicked out. he’d probably still be in there, if he’d had his choice.
hope to see baby photos soon!

I was wondering how things were going with Second Chef
My wee one arrived 5 weeks early rather spectacularly. All the best for the 3 of you!

I was late (6 days, thankfully, given when my birthday would have been otherwise), which is apparently not unusual for first borns. Have been tardy ever since.
